Description
A refreshing strawberry lemonade combining fresh strawberries with lemon juice and simple syrup, served chilled for a perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes for serving
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries: Rinse strawberries and remove stems. Blend until smooth to make a puree.
- Make the lemon syrup: Heat sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan until sugar dissolves. Cool the syrup.
- Mix the lemonade: Combine lemon juice, strawberry puree, and cooled syrup in a pitcher. Stir well.
- Add water and adjust flavor: Pour in remaining 3 cups cold water. Taste and add more syrup or lemon juice if desired.
- Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve over ice with optional mint garnish.
Notes
- Choose ripe, sweet strawberries with deep red color.
- Use fresh unwaxed lemons for best flavor.
- Cool syrup fully before mixing to avoid bitterness.
- Blend strawberries until slightly pulpy, not fully smooth.
- Chill lemonade well before serving for best taste.
